In Ilulissat

Here we are since May 28th, on the west coast of Greenland and more exactly at Ilulissat, Disko Bay.

A great surprise, we were accommodated by a horde of mosquitos in advance of almost one month over the season, at the international airport of Kangerlussuaq.

Contrary to the last year, snow disappeared from the reliefs. The temperature of the air is currently of 16°.

Few large icebergs but the broad ones and important fragments of ices (growlers) are present in Bay.

We found our kayaks in their container such as we had left, nine months earlier.

We envisage a departure in the neighborhoods of next the week end, that will depend mainly on the weather.

We approached the local kayak club to store there our goods of more than one hundred kilos. John, one of the persons in charge of the club speaks good English, who shows the possibility for us new opportunities and new testimonys.

Nuuk, the capital, which we think to reach at the end of August with more than thousand kilometers from here.
