“More than one
hundred years ago, in 1898, Prince Albert 1st of Monaco made
the first of a series of four voyages to Spitzberg, which
had not been explored until then. The ties which bind the
Monaco Oceanographic Museum to the Arctic accordingly date
back to the expeditions of its founder, which still today
bear witness to the changes in the climate and the urgency
of protecting the marine environment. It was therefore quite
natural that the Monaco Oceanographic Museum supports the
Antognellis, with whom it shares the ambition to make known
the oceans, in order that they may be loved and protected.”

Following this
presentation, the Oceanographical Museum of Monaco organized
on Tuesday, May 25 and this at 48 hours of our departure, a
press conference in our honor, in the prestigious building
relooké in the 100 years honor of the Museum.
After a cordial
presentation of the Director, Mr Robert Calcagno, the press
was interested in our program during a good part of the
morning.
Possible contacts with the media then
were considered and could be remotely during the course of
the program 2010.
